The Fallen Warrior was painted in 1998 by Master Roy Hocking (1925 to 2018). Roy had dedicated eighty years of his life to painting, sculpture, carving, etc. In his forty years of practicing Martial Science, we observe that many of his works depict various aspects of the life of a warrior. These works are often referred as the Warrior Collection. The Fallen Warrior is a painting that is a part of a larger work of an entire battlefield.
In this smaller work, we see two warriors, one is wounded.
In Roy’s work, one can see that despite the brutality of war and the ongoing fear for one’s life, fellow warriors would come to the aid of those wounded by removing them to safety where medical attention would be administered. It goes without saying that Master Hocking invariably researched the historical authenticity of each detail in all his paintings. Fallen Warrior id no accept ion.
