Started boxing at 15 entering side show and golden glove matches between 74 and 77 and was one of Dave Gurra pro sparring partners till 84. He started training in 1980 under Jea Joon Kim and studied under John Viol Shihan in 2000 including weapons and martial tactical. He teaches at his Dojang.
Inspired by the movie the “Green Hornet” and “Marlowe” at six he started training with Jea Joon Kim. At 20 he started his Dojang and incorporated in 1989 where he still teaches. In 2014, he was honored by being the first martial artist to be inducted into The Greater Clevelan Sports Hall of Fame.
Began his martial arts training in 1971 and was promoted to Black Belt in 1973, under Tom Benich in Tae Kwan Do. He continues to teach and still does till today from his home Dojo in Newark Ohio. He continues to do annual seminars called the “Old Warriors Workout” which can be viewed on UTube.
President and Founder of American Kwan Tang Soo Do Federation and International VP of the World Tang Soo Do General Federation-Korea. Received 10th Dan from the Leaders of the Korean Federation. MA Degree in Administration and is a retired Asc. Professor of Criminal Justice Retired PD Lieutenant
